Welcome to TrueBowGear’s FAQ, where we aim to answer your queries with the same precision we apply to crafting our traditional archery equipment. Whether you’re a competitive archer, traditional bowyer, or beginning your archery journey, find your answers below.

About Our Products

What makes TrueBowGear products special?

Our products reflect centuries of archery heritage, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern precision. From English longbows handcrafted in London to Hungarian horse bows made with authentic techniques, each item is curated for archers who value heritage and performance.

Do you offer equipment for competitive archers?

Absolutely. Our range includes tournament-grade equipment like precision grain scales, competition-ready fletching jigs, and professional arrow straighteners – all selected by our team of competitive archers.

Can beginners find suitable equipment at TrueBowGear?

Yes. We offer complete arrow-making kits and beginner-friendly flatbows ideal for those starting their archery journey. Our cresting pens and glue-in points also allow newcomers to traditional arrow crafting.

Ordering & Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, JCB, and PayPal – all processed through our secure payment gateway for your protection.

Is my payment information secure?

As seriously as we take bowstring tension, we treat your data security. Our payment systems use industry-standard encryption, and we never store full payment details.

Why was my payment declined?

This could be due to: insufficient funds, incorrect CVV, or your bank’s security measures. We recommend contacting your card issuer or trying an alternative payment method.

Shipping & Delivery

What are your shipping options?

We offer two trusted services:
Standard Shipping (£12.95): DHL/FedEx delivery in 10-15 business days
Free Shipping: EMS service for orders over £50 (15-25 business days)

Why don’t you ship to certain areas?

Due to customs restrictions on archery equipment, we regrettably cannot serve some remote regions and parts of Asia. This reflects legal constraints, not our preferences.

Will I need to sign for delivery?

Yes. All deliveries require signature confirmation to ensure your valuable archery equipment reaches you securely.

Returns & Exchanges

What’s your return policy?

We offer a 15-day return policy from delivery date. Items must be unused and in original packaging. Please contact [email protected] to initiate returns.

Who pays for return shipping?

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect (which our meticulous London curation makes unlikely).

How long do refunds take?

Once received at our workshop, refunds are processed within 5 business days and typically appear in your account within 3-10 business days thereafter.

Product Care

How should I store my traditional bow?

Store horizontally in moderate humidity (50-60% RH), away from direct heat sources. Our custom crating provides ideal storage until first use.

What glue should I use for fletching?

We recommend our traditional hide glues for authentic results, or modern cyanoacrylates from our Glues & Adhesive range for convenience.

How often should I check arrow straightness?

Competitive archers should use our arrow straighteners before each tournament, while traditional archers may check every 50-100 shots.
